It was a great start for Worcester Triathlon Club’s junior girls at the first event in the West Midlands Children’s Aquathlon series at Wombourne Leisure Centre on Saturday.   Competing in the TS3 (13/14 years) age group Nixie Turner won the 300 metre swim / 3km run event, her time of 17:39 beating all but one of the boys.  Third place went to Helen Jubb in 18:51, with Jordan Prust and Rachel Powell coming in 13th and 14th.

The next event in the series is the Warwick Aquathlon on 15 April.

The series will be decided from the best two scores from four events so with a maximum 10,000 points for her win already in the bag Turner is already well placed.  The girls will also be competing in the West Midlands Triathlon Series which starts on 27 May with the Worcester Duathlon (run/bike/run) at Worcester University and which will be decided on the best three scores from five events.

Well done to all four girls for taking part and representing the club at this event.
