Turbo training starts Tuesday 25th October 7pm at the University.
Autumn block £30 for 8 sessions from 20 Oct to 20 Dec. Cost may drop if more than 8 people sign up.
Alternatively £5 on the night.

Turbo training is a great way of keeping legs turning and lungs working over the winter months. whilst improving technique, endurance, strength and lactate tolerance before the start of the race season. Sessions last 60 – 75 minutes and typically comprise of a structured 15 minute warmup, some drills and technique work, two main sets of specific efforts and a cool-down. These are not spinning sessions but a progressive programme aimed at time trials and road racing with a Sufferfest video every couple of months. Since you ride at your own pace, its easy to accommodate riders of all ages and abilities. No one is left behind!

The MPC lab in Thomas Telford building is a roomy, air-conditioned hall perfect for this sort of training. Showers are available in the nearby sports hall.
From the car park outside the MPC bikes and kit can be brought in through the large firedoors at the rear of the building. Note that there is now a £1 charge for parking at the University.

Suggested kit list:
Bike – in reasonably clean condition
Turbo trainer
Riser block for front wheel
Shorts, shoes, top
Fan to keep cool
Drinks bottle (water available)
Heart rate monitor (extremely useful but not essential)
A couple of towels to catch sweat – one for you, one to cover the bike

Online entries are now closed, however, entry on the day is possible. If you are planning on entering on the day please get to registration early, close to 7 am as possible please. If you have change even better, cheques accepted made out to ‘Worcester Triathlon Club’.

For the 7th year running Worcester Tri Club are holding our open water swim sessions at Upton Warren  (off J5 of the M5) starting Saturday 7th May and Weds 11th May 6.30pm. These will run until mid September. Full details are on the Training / Swim tab on the website.

Water is around 13c so refreshing might be best term but lovely and clear, weed free, bitey thing free and great onsite cafe and hot showers.

So whether you just like a dip or are training for your first or 100th triathlon or distance challenge  we will welcome you at Upton Warren
