Worcester – Top Barn triathlons
Welcome to the Top Barn Triathlon homepage, where we will keep you up to date with all the information about the day.
There are a few new things this year which you may want to know about:
- USN will be providing support to the race, with their nutrition centre and manning the feed stations
- The race entry has been made bigger, with 150 for the double (in 3 waves) and 200 for the sprint (in 4 or 5 waves) – please remember when you enter to put your 400m swim time and not the 750m and 1500m times (we had several athletes disappointed last year over the wave they were in, several had enetered incorrect times such as 28 mins for 400m!!)
Entry
The races can be entered via Entry Central click here for the sprint http://www.entrycentral.com/index.php?raceID=100295 or here for the double http://www.entrycentral.com/index.php?raceID=100294
We do not accept postal entries or cheques. This year Worcester Tri Club are paying the Entry Central admin fee for you so the race will be a couple of pounds cheaper!
Race costs are £49 (£45 BTF) for the double and £42 (£38 BTF) for the Sprint.
Race details
We hope that the course is going to be the same as previous years, so you’ll have every opportunity to compete against previous PBs, or if it is your first time, to test yourself against one of the most popular open water races in the Midlands.
Registration
After trying this out for the first time last year, we will again be registering athletes on Saturday evening. We will let you know closer to the time about the exact times but for local athletes and those camping it should give you a more leisurely way of signing in and help us get ahead of ourselves a little.
Registration for the Double will be 6am to 7.15am. Registration for the Sprint will be 6.45am to 8.15am.
Please remember to bring your BTF cards with you at registration to validate the race day license included in your application. Failure to present this will mean you are charged an additional £5 for a day license.
Car parking
Please note we will be closing the centre to vehicle access whilst transition is in operation as the cyclists need to use the main gate, so make sure you arrive outside these times. We will publish more details nearer the time. There is plenty of parking on site, both next to the lake and also in the overflow car park in the next field.
Prize-giving
Prize-giving will take place approx 30 mins after the last competitor has finished that race.
The prelminary prize race categories are shown prizes 2011.
Previous race winners and lap records are shown Race results – all years
Keep a look out for updates, see you at the race!
